John frog featured on BBC news Africa! talks about his life before music, being a child soldier struggling to hold a Gun to being one of the country’s successful Artist.
John Frog was Born in South Sudan and grew as a child soldier, it was a challenging situation for him.
His Father was a soldier, and joined the “child soldier group” when he was at the age of 6 to 7 till 8 years.
He definitely faced a lot of challenges growing up until he visited Juba in search of opportunities.
John Frog met with friends and showed him around the city, He became well versed of places including studios and spent time without seeing his parents in his village.
He developed passion for music until he produced “GUONDO SAKIT” the song talked about child marriage, it was a hit song.
Artists who were before him actually wondered how he made a hit song. But at first John frog was blamed for releasing a fake song. He was called all sort of names.
But today, John is famous and featured Tanzanian Artist Harmonize on Guondo Sakit Remix.
It went viral and he featured several Artists in East Africa and Nigeria. For instance he featured Jose chameleon, Harmonize, Eddy kenzo, Bahati, Iyanya to mention but a few.
In his interview with BBC news Africa, He advised youths to focus on what they love doing and stay committed.
